Bishop Kevin L. Long’s journey of faith began at the young age of 12 in Charlotte, NC. Quickly realizing that there was a pastoral call upon his life, Bishop Long served under the tutelage of his father, the late Reverend Sampson Long at The Macedonia Baptist Church, in Concord, North Carolina. Bishop Long received a BA in Political Science at Elizabeth City State University. He is the Pastor of Temple Church International, in Charlotte, NC. He is a devoted husband to his beautiful wife, Lady Tarsha’ Nicole Long and devoted father to Nicholas, Chanel, Donovan and three bonus children, Aaron, Nolan and Princeton. Bishop Long has implemented many programs that benefit the community at large. Understanding how “one changed mind can bring deliverance to many”; Bishop Long released his first book entitled “The Gideon Principle”. In 2022, Bishop Long was inspired to release a 30-Day Devotional entitled "Put your Mask on First." This Devotional is dedicated to people committed to choosing themselves while loving others and evolving into someone beautiful. As one of Charlotte’s premiere community leaders, Bishop Long has served as a member of the Mayor’s Mentoring Program, where he assisted in mentoring at risk youth, and was appointed to work on the Youth and Gang Drug Task Force for the Charlotte community. Because of his passion and concern for people and social injustices, Bishop Long became a part of the Urban United Faith Network. This network of churches was formed to unite the city of Charlotte through prayer and faith. |
Bishop Long has traveled across the world, spreading the true gospel of Jesus Christ. Through his travels and experience in ministry he has been sought after as a spiritual mentor by many pastors, which resulted in the formation of the Restoration Covenant Network and Para Church Ministries. The Fellowship consists of pastors who have submitted themselves to Bishop Long’s counsel and wisdom, as well as support in ministry. He also currently serves as the Bishop of Formation/Second Assistant Presiding Bishop for the Father’s Council Covenant Ministries.
Bishop Long’s love for God’s people and for God’s Word and his unique spiritual anointing allows him to connect with people where they are through prayer, preaching and teaching the Word of God. As one of the most sought-after ministers of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, Bishop Long’s heartfelt desire is that God will get the glory out of his life, and that he might know Him, and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His suffering.
